NA CAILLEACHA - SEVEN VOICES

Na Caileacha is a collective of eight ageing women artists based in Ireland, six visual artists,

a jazz musician/composer and a. writer/curator. Together we will explore our experience of ageing, our bodies, our creativity, our place in the art world and how we relate to our culture and heritage. Seven Voices is my first artwork for the Na Cailleacha project resulting from a group residency at the Ballinglen Arts Centre, County Mayo in 2020, a video fusing images of ageing skin, hands and the stone surfaces of the landscape with sounds or the piano and saxophone by Carole Nelson.
