Freeman has worked in a wide range of media including sculpture, painting, installation, digital media and more recently film. She has collaborated with composers and musicians and also created her own soundscapes, She has created many visual/sound installations always responding to a particular place both as a physical space and a sonic environment. Throughout this constantly evolving practice there is a sense of transformation based around the manipulation of processes and materials. The mixture of elements, partly figurative, partly abstract, explore time, memory and history, not in any objective way but in an attempt to locate them in a metaphoric space that anyone can share.
